turbo is overheating 700

my 87 760 trubo has been having acceleration problems (currently working on that)...

new problem that's appeared in the meantime...the turbo overheats. it literally gets red-hot, even with a full level of coolant and oil. it eventually gets so hot that finally the coolant hose to the turbo just breaks. Its happened to me 3 times over the past week. anyone have any ideas why this is happening? it was fine before...
