engine trouble 900 1991

My 960 failed me this morning. When I started her up, she sounded like running on five cyl. Engine shaking, poor idle.
Left her by the local shop (no Volvo experts) They checked her, and found her running allright afterwards. They suggested the trouble was caused by a sticking valve, and told me to flush the engine and change the oil. On my way home, the engine started running bad again. I just finished the oil-change (it was due anyway) and the trouble is still there.
A while ago the el warning light came on, and I read the codes. 2-1-2 (missing or faulty signal from O2-sensor) 1-1-2 (FI module fault). But the car ran allright, and I chose to ignore it. Stupid, but I dont know if that has anything to do with my problems now. Any suggestions?
