Dwell/RPM Meter, Timing Light... 120-130 1967

Hello All:

1967 Volvo 122S wagon. I am doing a tune-up for the first time in my life and I have assembled most of the tools I need including a nifty balancing tool to measure the air intake on the carbs as well as an even niftier device that is essentially a clear spark plug that allows you to see the color when the fuel ignites. I will certainly let you know how it works out if anyone wants details on these toys.

I do need to acquire a few additional diagnostic tools, however. A friend told me that some dwell meters come with a tachometer built in. This would be useful since there is no tach on my beloved brick. The other useful tool is a timing light, obviously. Does anyone have experience with these combined dwell/tach tools and if so, can you recommend a good one? I have never measured dwell in my life so I will be starting from scratch here and I want to make sure I get the right thing. I assume timing lights are all the same. Please let me know otherwise.

Cheers,

Jeff Pucillo
