Knocking

Danny, I have two of the same year 240's with the same symptoms. Have you had the car for a long time? I'm guessing not,because you would have noticed this some time ago.
This is believe it or not this is "normal", Volvo engineered the pistons to expand in size when the engine warms up, this knocking sound goes away.
This is especially happens when the car has over 75,000 miles.
