Ever give much thought to programmable F.I.? 120-130

Very true, adding the pump, regulator, return line, and the quantity of wiring is a fair bit of work. And the only way it could ever get close to the price tag of a set of Mikuni's would be to do some creative pick-n-pulling.

The main advantage to it is when (as you mentioned) you have a fuel injected car with a modified engine, and the un-configurable OEM computer doesn't know what to make of the results. It would make a stock old B20 run very cleanly, but they (well most of them) don't have to pass smog tests anyhow.
