rear door won't open 900 1994

Hello-

I recently had to have the "vent" window replaced on the driver's side rear door (due to a break-in). When I got the car back from the glass repair shop, I found that I could no longer open that door from the inside or the outside, and the lock knob feels mushy.

How can the rear door be opened without destroying the interior panel?
