Tricky 2-3-2 OBD Code

Replacing the oil separator box is a good idea, along with a thorough cleaning/servicing of the rest of the PCV system. Especially the small vacuum hose and its attaching fitting.

Other places to check:

Accordion air hose can get leaks in the bottom side that are hard to spot. New hose is cheap and easy.

Check for leaks in the intake manifold gasket. See FAQs for how to. While the engine is as idle, take a long extension 13mm socket and tighten some of the I-manifold nuts. Listen for change in engine running.

Good Luck,

Bob
