HELP! - 240 RADIO TURNS OFF WHEN PRESSING BRAKE PEDAL! 200 1992

Help!

I'm trying to figure a weird problem with a friend's '92 240... The Radio (Factory) will intermittantly turn off when the brake pedal is depressed.. again.. its intermittant. not always repeatable. Do the two components share a common path somewhere in the wiring?? Usually the radio will turn back on once the vehicle is shut down and restarted.
Any theories??
