Today while I went intoa store I left the car running with a/c on(wife in car) and came out the alt.gauge was just above the red mark and the alt.light,brakelight,lamboda light and bulb out light where on but dim.I have never had a alt.go on me so I,m not sure if this is the alt. going or is this a short? The car is a 85 240 ti B21,it has a 55 amp alt. in it and if it's bad should I replace it with a higher amp alt.? Thanks for any help. Charlie
