Trunk Lock Malfunction 700 1989

I had trouble with the 740 I bought...the key wouldn't even go into the lock and the power actuator was shot. I was able to rig up enough extensions on my 3/8" socket to get at the 10mm bolts that hold the strike plate on by reaching through the trunk pass-through in the rear seat. Once the strike plate was unbolted, I pulled the trunk open and was able to get at the locking mechanism.
