Like my 10mm socket I dropped whilst replacing the radiator in my PV. It dropped down somewhere around the nose, and I looked until I felt silly spending more time looking for it. It didn't hit the floor (would have heard that). It dropped, I heard a couple of sheet metal rattles, and it was GONE.

The car was probably offended by the metric socket and consumed it in retaliation.
