Actually it was that website that listed regular self-serve at $2.91.9 at Petro-Canada on Sackville Drive just before lunchtime. That's obviously been retracted - maybe someone's idea of a joke (perhaps corporate fear-mongering for the conspiracy theorists). At any rate, there were massive line-ups at the pumps here for several hours as rumors flew around, and several stations are now sold out of gas. In the meantime, I apologize for wasting space with sensationalism... It was also rumored that PEI's provincially-regulated gas price was at $2.25/L, apparently there's no truth to that either.
