By recycling the exhaust past the vocal cords, it has been discovered that one can make a Volvo speak very rapidly.

Owners pursuing this method sometimes take their Volvos to auctioneering-skill contests where Volvos rapidly "call" the auctions, selling off lesser cars that can't speak at all.
