Bad battery or charging problem? 140-160 1973

While there might be other problems, I'd bet my next paycheck the battery replacement fixes everything you've described. More than once during my years as a service station owner, I saw cars with perfectly healthy charging systems pull in for gas, then refuse to start after sitting 5 minutes, all due to a battery that simply chose that time to fail completely. Get a new battery and press on... and thank your lucky stars the current battery lasted 5 years!
