intermittant engine cut out 700 1989

Only happening when hot makes me think it's the RPM sensor (crank position sensor) on the flywheel. Fuel pump relay is a good thing to look at too. Check the 700/900 FAQ under LINKS, FEATURES, Engine sensors at the top right of this page. That has info on these and other items to check. I know it describes no starts when hot due to the RPM sensor.
