Art,

Yup, a pinched wire sounds probable, and you are right, it WAS crowded behind the fuse panel. Looks like I've got my weekend project lined up, tearing out the panel. Sigh.

When laying out the CL wires, I ran them from right rear door to left rear door behind the handbrake under the floor mat.
