SUs Switched 120-130

Well, I went ahead and "downgraded" back to the HS6s. My float bowls immediately flooded over, but once I got that straightened out, all was good. I still can't quite get the mixture correct, but with the HS6s on, the car ran and accelerated very well.

I recently picked up a Unisync Carb Tool on eBay and I finally had a chance to try it out. Seems that my rear HS6 SU was *way* out of sync. Getting it adjusted was a snap with the tool. I'm not sure why everyone is so "down" on them... 'Course I spent a whole lot less than $50.00 on mine. :)

Anyway, it seems that the HIFs were the culprit. I suspect that they could be made to work, but I'm nowhere near competent enough with Carbs to try at the moment. It's a shame really, they are very nice carbs.

Soooo, stil trying to get the mixture to a the leanest w/o making the car run like molases. I think it's a bit rich now (two full cranks down from the top), but I'm not sure how to tell. So any advice here woudl still be appredicated.

Thanks for all the info so far!
