I know that R sport heads exist, as I witnessed one in David H's shop at OJ Rallye Automotive this summer. There is a part number stamped into the clean face, either where the loweer end is, manifold, or valve cover. It's not cast, but stamped. The example I saw was a cracked R sport B20 but there was a B18 R sport package as well.

On the other hand, you may just have a B18B head as opposed to the lower compression B18D and B18A heads.
