if there is a problem with the motor and can't figure out the problem, i'd look at getting a hand crank setup from another volvo in the junkyard. i've got a hand crank in mine and it's given no problems. something else you may want to look at is to make sure the seal that goes around the sunroof has not came off in one area and decided to get stuck. this was my problem this past spring.
