How to test vacuum sensor on ignition module ? 200 1988

Hey Mike,

It is not a pot, it is a coil. The diaphragm moves a ferrite core within it to change the coil's inductance. The coil is part of an oscillator that changes frequency with the change in inductance.

Use the timing light to check the results.

That's one fine looking car in your profile picture!

Good luck,
