fixing LED brake-light 120-130

Chris;

I don't believe Shoe-goo is an RTV...it smells more like a urethane product to me...and from memory, it didn't dry/cure in the rubber consistency I'm used to from RTVs...RTVs typically release acetic acid (vinegar smell)...although recently, I've run across some "low odor" types that don't...I guess they had too many complaints...I don't see what the problem is...what's wrong with the smell of Italian salad dressing....

Tom;

Yes, as other poster mentioned, fix in place during curing or fixture will most certainly sag under its own weight...but once cured (skins in hours, fully cured in 24) it will stay there (and probably outlive you) you can cut away mess with a razor blade and touch up and neaten the job up with some more...again, a clean surface is critical!

I love RTV...if it only didn't look so much like cake frosting...and taste like it...
