He broke the latch. In all liklihood the window portion is attached to the frame with rivets. Mine is verrrry stiff on the driver side (all of a sudden) which leads me to believe that it either corroded or one of the pins has "slipped" and is now binding. Perhaps I'll find time to investigate...
