A 240 of that age would not have an M41. Even the super duper rare 1975 204's that had the odd mix of transmissions and engines had the earlier (B20) motor teamed up with the later transmission (M45, M46).

It's probably an M46, and won't fit on a B20 bellhousing. The 240 bellhousing would fit the transmission and your B20, but it would leave the transmission tilted.
