I have heard of that called a speaker replacement grille. It is truly speaker grille.

I replaced the one on my 1986 twice, and learned a few lessons en route.

It is held in place by a pair of little prongs at each corner. The prongs reached max brittleness 5 years ago, so be wary of that.

Remove the glove box to gain access to the underside of the grille. Use a mirror and flashlight to see what's in there. You will have to reach in there "blind" to work the grill prongs loose, so memorize what you see.

I got the two of them on eBay.


I may have a blue on in one of my parts cars. Haven't check its condition. If you are interested, left me know. Shipping will be cheap.
