Remember these wagons were designed to carry a load, and are pretty stiff in standard form. Try loading it up and see how much better it rides.

Getting the rear springs and bushings rebuilt is a good idea, but Im not so sure about going stiffer back there. I might almost consider reducing the number of leaves from 8 to something less to give a better ride.
