Volvo vs Saab real life crash data

Ditto with what Chris says. Saab, BMW, Mercedes and Volvo build the safest cars in the world. We just had a conversation at the dealer between the service writers and a few customers over Volvo safety. The one girl service writer made a comment on how the old 240's were tanks. If she happened to be in an accident she wants to be in a 240 instead of a newer Volvo. Well the rest of us sat there with our mouths open since we were talking about a 06 Cross Country XC70 that was sitting on the show room floor. I popped up and said if it was between my 87 745T and my 97 960 I hope I'm in the 960 if it was a bad accident. And if I had a choice between a 93 240 and that 06 Cross Country I'll take the Cross Country in an accident any day over a 240.
I like the SAAB's and the 2.0 liters are pulling mid 30's to high 30's in real world highway gas mileage. The only problem I have seen with them is I know two Saab Techs, they hate working on them.
