240 Tail light issue 200 1985

Try cleaning all your electrical connections (The plugs) and bulb sockets with a wire brush and/or electronics spray cleaner. Dielectric grease in all the bulb sockets will also help. Just ask for it at your local parts store, they have it.

Go buy a $10 voltmeter at radio shack. Set it to DC power.

You can test the circuit for power by following the socket grid back to the connector. Find the corrosponding female side on the plug and put the Positive(RED) probe in the connector, ground the black and see what you get. If it's 12v you're golden, it's in the taillight assembly, if it's dead or low then you have wiring or ground issues.
