Is it the key/lock end or the electical end that's died (I had both fail over the 15+ years I drove a 142). The electrical end looked kind of generic - while the casting was clearly unique to Volvo. Wonder if it used in a wider range of cars than Volvo. Have you tried the Bosch parts distributor?
