I have the frigi-king "dealer install" AC option on my Duett, with a B-18 engine.
The condensor for the AC is mounted right in front of the engine radiator, as one would expect.
The AC works well, however when in use, the engine temp starts raising quickly.
This statment is based on observation of the temp guage.
When the guage needle approaches the upper limit, I turn the AC off and the system cools down to normal.
The engine does not seem to overheat, as I have stopped the car and opened the radiator cap and it does not boil or explode with steam.
Is this an oversensitive temp guage?
How does the cooling system on other 554s 122s and 210s with AC behave?
My belief is that the AC condensor is loading the air passing over the radiator with preheated air which is not effectivly lowering the coolant temperature.
I am afraid to use the AC until I can resolve this issue.
Thanks - Leroy
