The older 740 had (I think) 9mm rods as opposed to the later (I think) 13mm rods. Ask me how I know? (I'll give you a hint...oil pouring out of the block and nice bits of iron on the splash shield) :)

As to the original question, you can part it out, sell it to a junkyard or sell it in your local version of the Bargain News as a parts car.
