The crossmember is that large flat piece of steel that crosses just in front of the oil pan. Center the the jack on the crossmember, a portion of the cradle will rest on the plastic belly pan, but don't worry it will be O.K.

In the rear center the cradle under the differential, and avoid the swaybar.
