Not really: the switch fails through frying internal contacts, which may occur intermittently or according to current or temperature. The relay and fuse tray connectors underneath can fry: look for burned or melted plastic. Also, sometimes the crimped ends can loosen through heat: try recrimping or, better, recrimping and soldering.
