Mpg on K-jet 240 200

That's diapointing, I also have a 87 745 tic and it gets 24 mpg with a led foot and i tought that was bad. i was expecting low 30's from a smaller engine, with a manual tranny.

I do have 195.60.15 And i have a very long trip comming up with a loaded car that i need to maximise mpg for and i'v even disconected the power steering pump.

Any other advice? I've replaced all the o-rings and gaskets on the intake so i'm pretty sure there are no vacum leaks. All new exaust from cat back, new plugs, wires, dist, and cap. Can of bg44k did nothing,

I'm getting low 20's on 90% highway driving and it needs to get better. Oh and the car does 2000 rpm at 60mpg in o/d.

thank you all

All the best
