A brake failure story 700 1985

Wow. Now that's what you call a chain reaction. I guess it's not much consolation to point out that technically you still had brakes, just with no assist - I drove an '81 240 for a while in university with no assist on the brakes or steering (1-the booster failed, 2-the belt broke, and I was too broke to replace either one) and man, what a workout that car was. Over the course of a few weeks I actually bent the seat with the effort of pushing that pedal down. And it was a standard, so skinny brake pedal, no 2-footing it.
