Hello All:

Thanks for the responses. Yes, I could shim the foot switch, but unfortunately the bolts would not be long enough to reach. I guess I will get new bolts, but I just paid for these. Alas...

Good call on the filament. I just changed that bulb with a brand new bulb I got from Swedish Treasures. I got two, so I will swap the other new bulb, see if the problem persists, and return one or both.
