Something I don't have to worry about with the KgTrimning aluminum bridge supporting the shaft along its entire length. But in detriment, checking the clearance on the roller rockers is more vague than with solid rockers. It's a much more subtle feel to the go/no go.

I wonder about that flex though. Does it flex the same when running, with the dynamics and harmonics of the uneven stresses placed on the rocker shaft? If it does still flex, then the 'incorrect' lash is really correct, as it accouns for the flex. If it doesn't flex due to harmonics, then the .001 correction is (at least in theory) correct.

But I'd have to wager that if it can flex at all then due to harmonics it will flex to varying degrees in varying times, changing as the rpms change. Which means trying to get them adjusted to such a fine tolerance is largely fruitless. I guess you could check, really, merely by taking the valve cover off, starting the motor, and revving it up and feeling for vibration/movement on the ends of the shaft, where it would presumably flex the most.

My own personal preference is to just pull of the valve cover and coil wire, then bump the starter until #8 is down, then set #1, then work myself along sequentially, 7/2, 6/3, 5/4, 4/5, 3/6, 2/7, 1/8. That way I do them in order, won't forget one. And even though I may turn the motor over a few extra times doing them in order like that I'm using the starter anyhow, no extra effort struggling to turn it with the fan. I can do it in about 15 miuntes, from opening the hood to closing it. If you look at the cam, the 'mirror image' valve is on the opposite side of the cam from the the lobe when its mirror image valve is open.
