240 wagon intankpump and sending unit

going to the pnp on saturday need info on the wagon and sedan intank pump/sending unit are they same part and if so what years (86to93?)this started saturday after it was filled up gas was dripping from the tank leaked for about 20 minutes then ok.pulled the tank cover to check the pump/sending unit and found it was badley rusted.not sure if this is the leak but the gas smell was very strong.any help on this would be appreciated,
