You're going in the direction I always wanted to - taking the bulletproof B21FT, my favorite engine, and combining it with the benefits of EFI & knock-sensor ignition. I agree with the previous poster that LH2.4 (including the B230 intake manifold/TB) would be better-suited to this application since 2.4 has adaptive fuel trim to 'learn' what base settings work best for the engine. 2.2 is easier to install (no need to pull tranny to swap flywheel & install RPM sensor) and should work pretty well as long as the O2 sensor's up to scratch, but I wonder if it might give some quirky throttle response issues due to being designed for the flow characteristics of the B230, though they're such similar engines I can't imagine there'd be any substantial difficulty.
