Not really... 200 1989

There's no difference of opinion among any Volvo technicians (both dealership guys and indies) I've ever talked to. It's not a Mercedes diesel. It's not a Ford Escort. Nor is it a B6304 with its tendency to snap bolts when removing them. And it's not an issue on a B21/23/230. But replace 'em if you feel it's warranted - that's what keeps parts counters profitable I guess.

As an aside, there are measurements specified by Volvo to determine if the bolts are within spec, or unduly stretched - I don't have those figures in front of me but they are in one or more of the green books. I'm inclined to think Volvo would've verified that heads wouldn't be flying up through hoods before giving written endorsement to reuse of the bolts.
