what kind of crazy 1987 do you have with 1) TWO O2 sensors and that has 2) an OBD2 port???

There might be an onboard diagnostic cluster (my 90 740T with LH 2.4 does) but I don't know about the 2.2 or Regina etc. This doesn't have an obd connector, but COULD have been connected to a dealer's computer and then sent to the Swedish supercomputer to talk to or even reprogram or some other crazy awesome stuff involving your ECU. I believe this computer has since been decommissioned.

I think the dealer is yanking your chain- the one attached to your wallet. Perhaps they referred to your AMM as your front sensor or your EGR.
