I use some regular rubbing compound on my 87 f 150 and it worked great. The shop I take my Volvo to when i get in a jam dose the lights too, but i never have seen the stuff your talking about. Let me know how it turns out for you. Im replacing my right head light after a truck backed into me. I got the new light for under 70 and the marker for 30 at lampandlenes.com. Ill need to clean up the other one soon.
