There no pollen filter on these cars.

If the air pump is running more than after an intital cold start it may mean the catalytic convertor is cooling off somehow and the air pump is injecting to create more heat to get the cat up to operating temp. As long as the pump is not making any unusal sounds, the pump itself is probably fine.
