Alright - here are my 2c worth -

From previous discussions on a Triumph Spitfire specific board and insurance claims related there-to - you need to build a case for yourself. Find what evidence you can of sales of other similar 242GTs in the past year or two (may be tricky as there are fewer 242 GTs than there are Spitfires trading hands). Present them with recipts.

Convince them of the higher value and get them to cover the repairs - or take a higher total loss value and purchase it back from them.
