I doubt that the throttle valve setting is the source of your rough running but you never know. To answer your question you will want to have the throttle valve cleaned and adjusted so it will idle at about 530 RPM with the throttle switch closed and the IAC (idle air control motor) hose pinched off so it is out of the circuit. This is more or less right out of the Volvo bulletin that was issued years ago when they went to the style of throttle valve and IAC that your car has on it. It should not have a plastic thumbwheel on it like the older ones did.
