Not only am I having OD problems (just posted) but my idle has started to act up too!
When I started the car this morning (1987 740 Turbo with 5 speed), the idle went immediately to 1500 and stayed there. I drove the car for 3 miles and the idle had dropped to normal - temp sensor??
However, as the day went on, the idle would take 5-15 seconds to drop to normal at a light. It also became a bit erratic at approx normal idle, varying a 100 RPM while sitting at a long light.
Does this sound like IAC valve?
