Actually, if your car is a 740, it's engine is mostly like the latest model 240's, so that would make the Bentley manual somewhat useful to you. So you might want to give that eBay auction a shot.

I'm afraid I don't know the exact retail price -- I bought mine a long time ago at a 'member's price' from the Volvo Club of America (www.vcoa.org). It was probably, then, about $25-30.

And my set of green manuals I've bought over the years. I've got most of the sections, but not for all years, primarily because my set originally was for a 1980, and then I bought some as I owned an '83, an '84, and finally '93s, and I've bought this and that when I thought there was substantial changes and I should upgrade. I'm afraid I don't remember their prices (they varied).
