740 GLE Engine swap? 700 1986

Hey y'all, I was wondering what it would take to put a 318 dodge engine in my 740 GLE?? I have a good 318 that would be a good for this project. Also could I use the cars transmission and bellhousing and just git an adapter plate to adapt down to the right size (If needed) or would I need a new tranny? Just wondering, and thinking. Thanks for the input. TractorMike
