How to adjust clutch fork? 120-130

The green book says that clutch fork travel should be 0.12" to 0.16". I adjusted my '66 with M40 trans by pushing back on the clutch fork until it made contact with the release bearing and then snugged the big adjusting nut within about an 1/8" of the fork.

Adjusting as described above required that the clutch fork be within 3/16" of the end of the threaded slave cylinder rod.

1. Was the clutch fork adjustment done correctly?

2. If so, there doesn't seem to be much more room for adjustment. Does this indicate the clutch is nearing the end of useful life?

Thanks as always,

Joe M in WV
