power window glass holder/regulator

The part that goes onto the bottom of the glass is usually referred to as a "window hatchet" and you will need a strip of the moulding material that goes in there. This is a tricky operation and unless you can tell exactly where it went on there before you will need to get that number from the Volvo body book. You need someone to hold the glass upside down and on something soft like a seat cushion and the you need to drive the hatchet back on with the new strip in between the hatchet and the glass. Put a crease in that strip from top to bottom to aid in it centering up and do not lube it with anything. If you do need to lube it, use brake spray clean, it will make it slippery and will then evaporate leaving little to no residue. What you do not want to do is to stretch that strip to make it thinner and thus easier to install, it will go on easier but will also come apart down the road too.

Good luck,
Mark

p.s. part number on that filler strip is 1213920
