They're only a step or two above crap, but cheap and more than good enough for ballparking the measurements. And if you happen to break it you're only out a couple bucks, which is something that can't be said for good machinist tools (which is why I'm more likely to use one of these than my good ones when it doesn't have to be that close).
Dangerous place to go if you have on local though.... I'm always coming home with something.
